3Brain is looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineer - Thermal Design for its Swiss office. You will be an integral part of our dynamic engineering team, contributing to the development of cutting-edge products with a focus on efficient thermal management and dissipation of heat for machines designed for operation in cell incubators.
Main responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements and specifications.
- Conduct thermal simulations and analysis to optimize product performance and reliability.
- Design mechanical components, ensuring seamless integration with electronics and optimal heat dissipation.
- Design other parts of our products on CAD, ensuring compatibility and alignment with overall product design.
- Work closely with electronics engineers to incorporate electronic components into overall product design.
- Perform testing and validation of integrated systems to ensure functionality and adherence to specifications.
- Evaluate and select materials and manufacturing processes suitable for thermal and electronic components.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of product design processes and methodologies.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven and extensive experience in product design, demonstrating a strong emphasis on thermal management and electronics integration.
- Exceptional proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design and advanced thermal simulation tools.
- Deep understanding of heat transfer principles, thermal management techniques, and their application in product design.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and a creative approach to addressing complex thermal and electronic design challenges.
- Effective communication skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate seamlessly within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Applicant must have an EU residence permit.
Additional Qualifications
- Proficiency in FEA software such as ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar tools.
- Experience with scripting environments such as Python and MATLAB.
- German language knowledge.
