SUPPLIER MANAGER LEAN MANUFACTURING (M/F/D)

YOUR TASKS
In the Business Group Lighting you are responsible as a Supplier Manager Lean Manufacturing for managing / validating the supplier sites initiatives related with cost efficiency in coordination with the Commodity Leaders, Program/Series Buyers and Operations Teams. The focus is on supplier value chain cost reduction while ensuring best production processes are applied.
Your main tasks will be:
- Acting as an interface between the Purchasing teams and suppliers and working closely with supplier quality organization responsible for programs to ensure best in class manufacturing process and maximum efficiency.
- Support Purchasing Commodity Negotiations providing physical evidences of supplier value chain cost reduction opportunities.
- Support the supplier selection process focusing on lean manufacturing. Consult suppliers to ensure best manufacturing process concepts and optimized cost are applied.
- Support Purchasing Commodity to Develop cost models with suppliers based on value chain optimization.
- Support Purchasing Commodity Negotiations providing correct assessment of suppliers Value stream mapping of new LCC sources and the setup of new sourcing models.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Engineering or similar
- Several years of experience in automotive or industrial environment, ideally in the quality area
- Strong Value stream mapping vision as well as planning and organization skills
- Understanding of supplier cost structures in best class manufacturing process concepts as well as in the related cost impact
- Capable to handle/coordinate events @Suppliers sites
- Good written and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organization with an international mindset
- Fluent in English and willingness to travel (around 50% of the time)
