Who will you be joining?
Global Sustainability drives the integration of sustainability in the Allianz organization and business. You will join a member of the Sustainability in Allianz as Financial Institution team, which works with and across all Allianz business areas on strategic sustainability priorities. Your role will be an expert on climate change and carbon removal with the goal to advance Allianz ambition setting and execution.
How can you make an impact?
You will:
- Develop further Allianz' position on Coal, Oil, Gas and renewables or so called Energy guidelines.
- Drive and coordinate development of Allianz' approach to carbon dioxide removal (CDR) removal, taking into account credibility minimum standards, regulatory developments, external and internal stakeholder needs.
- Further develop CDR selection, sourcing and implementation approach that secures achievement of 2030 targets.
- Contribute to reporting approach under CSRD regulation on climate and CDR, aligned with all relevant stakeholders.
- Further develop approach to existing REDD+ certificate stock taking into account Allianz’s sustainability strategy.
- Contribute to Group sustainability referral process for climate.
- Contribute to climate-related content update and regular reviews of Allianz Standard for Integration of Sustainability.
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 7 years professional work experience in climate or CDR.
- Experience with investments or P&C insurance businesses is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in managing multiple projects and diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability in setting priorities and execute in defined timeline.
- Demonstrated ability to think and act independently, to quickly adapt to new problem settings and situations, with a focus on problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, flexible and energetic team player with a strong interest in sustainability issues, environmental problems and societal concerns.
- High attention to detail and ability to work on different work-streams, topics and teams at the same time.
- Able to perform in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication and able to successfully manage various stakeholders.
- Structured and result oriented.
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- International experience is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- MBA or Masters Degree.
