This position reports to
R&D Department Lead
Your role and responsibilities
Manage, guide, and supervise a team of software engineers and control theory experts who are responsible for medium voltage drives
Coordinate activities related to the software development life cycle: Requirements engineering, design, implementation, tests, and maintenance
Manage troubleshooting and field support for installed base
Liaise with key stakeholders within the areas of Product Management, Service and Product Engineering
Ensure effective and efficient operational procedures in all dealings with other local and global R&D teams
Perform line management duties such as hiring, HR development and coordination of various tasks at team level
Qualifications for the role
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering
- Proven track record in the field of control of variable speed drives
- Experience in project management related to software development
- Welldeveloped organizational and strategic abilities
- First experience in leading teams
- Excellent command of English, preferably complemented by German
