I am an experienced finance senior manager / financial controller looking at finance opportunities in and around the Zurich area. I left my previous role in 2019 to look after our two young children but now that they are in school I am looking for my next work challenge and am available to start work immediately.

Responsibility for the allocation of Corporate Functions expense forecasts and 5-year financial plans to Front Office Business Divisions and Legal Entities.

Responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis and Controlling activities for corporate central functions. Business partnering the regional heads of IS/IT in Europe, Emerging Markets and North Asia.

Managed all financial elements of the integration of the Kraft and Cadbury businesses across Western Europe, including delivery of a complex synergy savings program and management of a significant integration investment budget. Reported to the VP FP&A and Business Controlling and managed an extended project team. Business partnered the VP Strategy & Integration and VP Business Expansion. Built a four year financial integration plan and coordinated the over-delivery of the first two years of synergy savings.

Responsible for planning and managing all internal audits relating to business transformation programmes, acquisitions and internal assurance functions. Reported to the Group Audit Director and managed and developing 3 audit managers, 2 remotely in the India office. Responsibility for managing internal Sarbanes-Oxley and COSO controls testing. Business partnered the Global Chief Supply Chain Officer from an Audit perspective on agreed group risks.

Responsible for all planning and analysis activities for the £500m+ Cadbury UK Grocery business. Business partnered the UK Grocery Sales Director and a key member of the UK Grocery leadership team. Reported to the UK Commercial Finance Director and managed one senior finance analyst. Championed the introduction of a margin focused culture through coaching national account managers and controllers, enabling 2 years of margin progression after 5 years of margin decline.

After working for Sainsburys for seven years the company offered a one year sabbatical program which my wife and I took advantage off. We traveled extensively in Central and South America and South East Asia for 12 months. On our return to the UK I decided to take up an opportunities with Cadbury rather than return to Sainsbury's.

Financial controller for the supermarket Online Grocery business as well as the Online Wine, Entertainment, Flowers, Gift Hampers and Home Appliances businesses. Reported to the Retail Finance Director and business partnered the Head of Online. Developed and implemented a framework of strict financial control on P&L and capital expenditure which enabled the profitable roll-out of the online proposition to 50 new stores.
